In patient survey, we asked our patients to comment on those who improved the quality of their patient experience. Here were some of responses:

  • Registration is simple, quick, efficient, and I am always addressed by name. Pam, especially, never fails to ask how I am doing. Dr. Johnson, and her assistant, are always patient focused, kind, and I never feel rushed through an appointment.
  • Alison does a fantastic job with patients and is very knowledgeable.
  • Every single person from reception to infusion nurses are amazing and deserve recognition!

  • Every single person that I deal with is highly professional and caring. The receptionist is amazing. She knows almost every person by sight! I am so glad that I have this team on my side while going through this terrible disease. They are outstanding!
  • My provider spent time really listening to my concerns, validated my concerns, and together we formulated a plan for my care moving forward.
  • My APRN listened and took care of my needs promptly and with care.

  • We are treated with the utmost respect from every service in ECHO.  My husband is a veteran and received a Thank You for your service card which brought tears to his eyes.
  • Both of us have cancer and we are treated very well – especially by Dr Yang and her staff.

  • I have known my provider during my husband’s five-year fight with cancer and then with my own during the past five years. He is caring and compassionate, but what I like best, is that he always gives you the unadulterated facts and probabilities. That information, for me, made planning for the future easier.

  • The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating.  Dr. Johnson is extremely involved in my care from treatment to recovery.  Her suggestions are thoughtful and fact base. Very happy to have this team to take me through this very difficult process.
  • The procedure was on time. Instructions given prior to procedure were explained in-depth.I was checked on frequently. Nurse was concerned regarding my comfort before, during, and after the procedure.  No complaints.
  • Dr. Yang had been strong all through my treatment process. She never left me doubting my recovery. Dr.Yang is the doctor who saved my life. There are no words that would do justice to how I feel about her care. May The Lord watch over her and grant her a full life.
  • All the nurses and doctors were especially good and kind in their words into assisting you. And the doctors especially Dr Nick was especially terrific. He’s very organized precise and he’s a man of action communicates well so everyone’s on the same page he got to love that.
  • All staff including Dr. Kapoor we’re highly polite informative courteous and professional I felt very comfortable there as if I had been with that doctor for many years now.
  • I left the office completely at ease, Looking very much forward to the tests Dr. Kapur ordered and the results they will produce. I am confident for the first time that we will get to the bottom of what this is.
  • I am very satisfied with the way that my doctor is following through on my blood issues.

  • examining room was not clean and the trash was overflowing and over all they need to update the room.
  • Pam is extremely friendly and greets me using my first name.  To me, that is an example of a very well informed receptionist.  She remembers the amount I am going to pay towards my balance at each visit but always verifies the amount before processing.
  • Kaitlyn, was the nurse who flushed my port, drew my labs, gave me my injection of Prolia, went out of her way to answer questions, and rearranged my upcoming appointments. She also called in a few meds that needed refills. I have also had her for chemo treatments and she is delightful, caring, patient focused, and a pleasure to have as a nurse.
  • Kaitlyn RN….I believe I answered this in a previous comment field. However, she ALWAYS goes above and beyond and is a sheer delight. She is always pleasant, patient focused, and extends herself to accommodate me as a person and as a patient.

  • Dr. Bottino and his nurses did an excellent job concerning my needs and diagnosis. Very efficient run office.

Feedback September of 2021

  • I was treated with professionalism, kindness, and compassion with each visit. The doctors, nursing staff and office personnel are amazing. The atmosphere there is upbeat and positive.
  • Everyone was very helpful and kind. Dr. Yang was wonderful.
  • Anna was great. She noticed that I had two other tests from a different doctor and 2 tests from Dr. Yang. She told me that she would make all of my appointments on one day and at one facility. This was the best news I’ve heard!
  • Staff very good about explaining who and what to expect from the next person to provide service or attention.

  • My all-around experience at Echo has been excellent. The check-in and checkout process are very smooth and efficient. I like my doctor very much and he has been caring and provides me with information about my condition.
  • My entire appt. went according to schedule. Check-in facilitator is always efficient and friendly. Dr. Kapur always takes the time to carefully go over test results and plan for the future. He listens to all of my concerns. Courtney, his assistant is wonderful. She goes above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable and is excellent at answering any questions I may have.
  • I felt well cared for. Have a good relationship with provider and staff. Excellent coordination with other providers.
  • During my chemo treatment everyone was great. I try to say hi whenever I have an appointment. Dr. Johnson is great – she explains everything and not in technical terms. Explained things thoroughly, as they were happening, as well as future happenings. This may be the norm, but it isn’t everywhere.

Feedback July and August of 2021

  • My doctor really cares, and I really trust her. The people working here have always been awesome. Dr. Yang is always easy to talk to, she is patient, kind and always makes sure I am comfortable with how she treats my medical issue. I trust her!
  • Dr. Yang has been strong all through my treatment process. She never left me doubting my recovery and is the the doctor who saved my life. The are no words that would do justice to how I feel about her care.
  • All my concerns were addressed, and I felt that the new treatment room was quiet, efficient and more comfortable. The staff is always very friendly too! Pam is the best registrar ever! Dr. Johnson and her assistant were amazing….love them both! Thelma, who checked me out…efficient and so pleasant.
  • Professional, personal, thorough and genuine in their care. This was not a cookie cutter assembly line, impersonal medicine. The treatment was personalized – not only for me, but everyone sitting near me. The care is personalized and very thorough. I didn’t have to wait long in the waiting area. Nurse was efficient and pleasant. Doctor spent as much time as needed answering questions concerns.

I did not see Kim, who is the phlebotomist at the clinic on this visit, but I would like to give her a shout out. She is amazing. I also met Dr. Johnson’s new secretary, Thelma. So pleasant and efficient! Cannot say enough wonderful things about ECHO.
  • The entire staff was extremely friendly and professional at the same time. Felt cared for and that I was getting top quality care. There were two very important people at the beginning and throughout my treatment who truly held me up and together at the shock of the diagnosis and start of treatment. They continue to support me along with an army of incredible nurses and APRNs. Thanks everyone!
  • I did not know what to expect and was not sure I needed to see a hematologist. I am satisfied that I did need to see one. I was impressed with the facility, support staff, and mostly the physician. He was super knowledgeable and informative regarding my condition. Laurie made me feel at ease, in good hands and welcome. Dr. Dhami made me look forward to quality treatment and support.
  • The receptionist has gone out of her way to remember my name. I’ve never had a caretaker who was rude, etc. They are all friendly and very professional. I never mind having an appointment.
  • Dr. Slater is very thorough and an excellent listener.
  • I’ve been going to the clinic for a few years now and the staff is always, always kind, professional, courteous and empathetic. 
  • Kaitlyn always asks if I need a pillow or blanket, water, or anything else. Even though she has other patients, she’s very attentive, as though I’m the only one. Everyone is very caring and concerned for my well-being. I don’t know how the nurses in the infusion room do their jobs every day, but I’m grateful they do.
  • I love Dr. Johnson, she is very throughout, kind, and keeps me the know with my next steps.

  • Dr. Slater had concerns about my test results and called me on a Sunday morning to get additional information that might help him get clearer results.

  • I would have to recognize Dr. Vanessa Johnson for exceptional care of me and my unexpected journey with breast cancer. She had a Plan A and Plan B for me. Plan A worked and we continue to follow through on it. She is very thorough with all the tests I’ve had, and I admire she makes sure all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed. I have 100 percent in any of the decisions she has made and continue to make for me. I am very fortunate to have her as my oncologist. The team that works with her is simply amazing, starting with the secretaries, assistants and oncology nurses.
  • I can’t say enough about all the staffing from check in to checking out. They are all very professional, caring, helpful and understanding. Always taking the time to listen and answer any questions or concerns you may have. I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do for me. At times I feel the word Thank you isn’t enough to say to them.
  • The nurse was great. The tech who drew and flushed my port was outstanding.

  • My prechemo appointment with Kristin Jolley was excellent. I feel she is a critical listener and I truly appreciate her. My chemo appointment was fine, I was cared for by competent caring people.
  • Dr. Nick really cares about his patients and makes sure the family members are well informed and up to speed on diagnosis/treatment options and so on. I am just amazed at how well my father has been cared for by the entire ECHO office. We have never had a problem of any kind and er have spent a lot of time here over the past few months.
  • Dr. Johnson always takes time to listen. Is very through in her exam.
  • Ellen from the chemo lab is one of the best medical professionals I have ever met. Throughout my chemo regime she always treated me with respect, and I felt she genuinely care about me. I hope I never have to go back there but if I do, I will be delighted to see her again.

  • Dr. Nick has been by far one of my favorite providers that has cared for my father, and he’s had ALOT of them. Dr. Nick is extremely helpful; he listens to all our concerns and answers them appropriately. You can tell he truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients and their families, and it shows.

  • Dr. Vanessa Johnson is an amazing doctor. I have known her since 2006, She takes her time and listens to her patients. I am comfortable with her and trust her with all recommendations and suggestions she makes. If she doesn’t know the answer she will investigates and get the answer. She is kind, friendly, has a great sense of humor ( which is very important with cancer patients). I followed her from Shaw’s Cove in New London to L&M Cancer Center and now to ECHO. Dr. Vanessa Johnson is an asset to ECHO and to all the lives she touches, patients, their families, and her colleagues. I am so grateful she is my doctor!
  • From start to finish I have been extremely happy with Dr. Kapur and staff. They make coming to doctors an informative friendly atmosphere. Always willing to answer any questions. Never a long wait. I am beyond happy that I have found them to help with my care.
