Jie Yang, MD
Dr. Yang received her medical degree from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, the top medical school in China, where she graduated with high honors. She then moved to the United States and received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Her research was in the area of virology, immunology, and virus-associated lymphomas. This research led to multiple publications.
After graduate school, Dr. Yang completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worcester, Massachusetts. She then completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. During this fellowship, she conducted research in identifying and isolating cancer stem cells. She was also involved in conducting clinical trials using novel therapeutic agents.
Dr. Yang is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She is fluent in English and Mandarin. Dr. Yang joined ECHO Associates in February 2008.
