Feedback Fall of 2023

• I always enjoy interacting with Sheena, Laurie, Angelina, and Annie. They always have good spirits, which is contagious. They treat me like a friend, as opposed to just being a patient. I love my relationship with them. They give their patients and each other total respect. Dr. Dhami, and Dr. Daggett are also very personable. They listen to my concerns. 
• Everyone in the office was so very nice and it made me feel very comfortable and my waiting time in the waiting room wasn’t long at all. Very happy.

• I always enjoy spending time with Kristen and Raphie too. They both make me feel comfortable and look after me.

• Dr. Kapur spent a great deal of time going over my previous visits with my other doctors. He explained in detail how we were going to proceed. I spent well over 30 minutes with him.

• Nicole, my APRN, spent additional time with me, as she did in December, when I was hospitalized. I appreciate her concern. I also thought, the Nutritionist, followed through well with giving me printed information for my diet.  
• After 11 years with this group, I have gone through doctors, medical assistants, nurses, etc. Only now do I feel optimistic about my future, living the best life I can, all because of the expertise of ECHO.
• Everyone is pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I always know what to expect and the wait times are very reasonable. I’m made to feel that they care about my well-being and try to answer all my questions or seek answers for my next visit. I feel comfortable under their care, and I feel I can trust their judgement on my treatment.
• My doctor was upbeat and optimistic that my deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is gone. Checkout staff was overjoyed and celebrated my not needing another appointment. They celebrated my victory that I’m now DVT free – as if I were a family member. Every staff member was delightful. I just left feeling so great. 
• Ali really cares about her patients, she listens, and is knowledgeable, warm, kind and friendly.
• Laurie, Dr. Dhami’s medical assistant, always goes above and beyond and remains efficient in all areas.

• I have been a patient for many years with ECHO and always have been highly satisfied with my care. This practice is obviously very busy with many staff members and no matter when or what the circumstances may be, they are professional, cheerful, and encouraging to ease any stress or concerns you’re experiencing. My questions are always addressed and often even before I ask them!! I feel very well treated in every aspect, love my doctor, and feel very comfortable and confident in their care.

• Bunny was very helpful during my first chemo visit. She answered all my questions and helped me with scheduling issues. She prepared me for everything that was going to happen during the visit and made sure I was comfortable. Since 2018, Dr. Vanessa Johnson has saved my life with her medical treatment for my blood problem.
• Dr. Kapur listens to everything the patient explains and goes the extra step to find an answer and gives possible solutions. I wish he could be my pcp since he is so thorough.
• Dr. Changizzadeh and his entire team are amazing. From the moment you arrive until checkout they are caring, compassionate and kind. Dr. C and his team are the reason I am still here playing ball with my children, fishing, watching them grow. God also helped, but He also put His caring hands on those that touch me in my treatment and care. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all you do for each of your patients!
• Dr. Johnson always gives time, attention, expertise beyond what I expect from a visit to the doctor.
• Dr. Nick is comprehensive, leaving no stone unturned. And no assumptions, but verification through pet scan, bone marrow aspiration, blood tests. He explains everything well. 
• Courtney is an exceptional nurse with great personality and so caring for her patients! A huge asset to Dr. Kapur’s oncology staff!
• Dr. Yang is very professional. She gets right to the point with my leukemia and let’s me know what to expect.
• Dr. Kapur, the oncology nurses, the front desk, and staff are extremely professional, never rushed, and are exceptional listeners! The entire oncology department goes over and above for all their cancer patients! So caring about each and every patient and the care they receive! I highly appreciate and recommend Dr.Kapur and his professional staff.
• I see Dr. Johnson and she is exceptional! She has that special way about her that immediately sets you at ease. Dr. Johnson is right down to earth, is generous with her time when seeing you, and explains everything in a clear way to understand. I’m in good hands for sure!!

• Dr. Kapur, the oncology nurses, and the entire staff are all exceptional, with compassion for their patients! Highly recommend this oncology practice for any abnormalities or needs!! Never rushed, Dr.Kapur is an exceptional doctor who saved my life!!!
• Dr. Yang’s assistant is so friendly, personable, respectful, says please and thank you, and is very kind and attentive to my sister, the patient.
• Everyone is very friendly and pleasant.
• The woman who always takes my blood is very kind and friendly and makes me feel like she really cares about my well-being. She’s super! 
• I was very pleased with ease and time frame of my visit and the receptionist. The APRN took time in listening to my health concerns even though they were not all directly related to my previous cancer condition or treatment. Her suggestions were helpful and answered my questions. Thank you all for your great continued care.
• From the first moment, Dr. Yang explained my situation clearly and was as strong as she could be in giving me hope. Gave me strength right away. I just knew I was going to make it. She saved my life. 7 years and going strong. Thank God for her. She is world class.

• Kaitlyn and Becky are exceptional oncology nurses, so caring, and professional, through-out my 12 rounds of chemotherapy treatments! Lisa, Dr.Kapur’s front desk bookkeeper/ nurse is such a professional, so helpful making all my appointments for chemo, CT scans, bloodwork. She has an excellent personality and is extremely good with all patients needs!

• I cannot say enough about my time here at ECHO. Dr. Slater, Dr. Dhami and Dr. Joly are my doctors they are the nicest people you want to have in your corner. They are so polite and the biggest thing about them is they listen to all your concerns, and they care! They are very knowledgeable and if you got a question, they have a direct answer for you – no hiding things, straight talk which is truly honorable. I love going and meeting with them because when I’m done, I know exactly what our next move is. Dr. Dhami’s nurse, Lori, is fantastic. She knows a lot and she truly cares about her job and her patients and is as honest and sweet as the day is long. And when she says she will do something, it gets done. She does not play around another straight shooter. She will take the time to talk to you and make you feel very comfortable after you go home about what’s going with situation.  She is the best. Then you have my Chemo nurse, Christine, who is very knowledgeable about her job and if I have questions, she can answer them right there. Her attitude is always great, and she treats you like a person, not a number. The receptionist, Beth, is great when you get there you are greeted with a great attitude and a smile and very polite. Last but not least there is Heather who if you need help with anything like programs, counseling, assistance with rides, etc., she is the one to get it done she is also a great person, So in all, I highly recommend ECHO to anyone with cancer or blood issues. ECHO is like your home and they everyone like family. I can’t say enough about them. Thank you for all the care I’m getting and the professionalism you hand out.
• All staff is well trained, professional, kind, and friendly. You are made to feel important, heard, and put at ease. Dr. Vanessa Johnson is an amazing human being. She listens to everything you say and validates how you feel. She puts you at ease for the whole visit. She always instills hope with your diagnosis and is extremely knowledgeable. She has a credit to her profession and is a lifeline to all her patients.
• I have been going to ECHO now for 2 years for my breast cancer. The people are wonderful. It’s like a family.

• Always pleased with my treatment at ECHO. Sarahbeth at the window is so warm and welcoming. Courtney RN was efficient and kind. Stacy in pharmacy helped me understand the process and took my worries away. All three are really top notch staff and you are lucky to have them (as are we the patients!!!)

• Everything went smoothly. The check- in was fast. The wait time was very short, the nurse came and got me. Took my vitals and blood. Shortly after, the doctor came in and did a thorough examination while addressing my concerns.
• My provider took the time to listen to my concerns without making me feel uncomfortable for asking questions since it is MY treatment. I am always treated with professionalism and respect.
•  Provider explained test results in detail and listened carefully to my comments while answering any questions I had. I did not feel rushed.
• Dr. Kapur always makes sure I understand and tells me to call if anything changes.
• The nurse that I met was outstanding. She explained everything to us. She showed compassion and listened to my concerns. If I was in business, I would want her as a fellow worker.

• I’m a previous employee of ECHO. I know Dr. Dhami and I am completely satisfied with the care he is giving me and his concern for my health.

• They are an awesome team. My oncologist Dr. Vanessa Johnson is wonderful. She is a straight shooter with a heart. Told me what I needed to do to tackle this cancer. Here assistant, Kristin Jolly, was super nice. She helped me in so many ways. Everyone at the clinic is great.

Referrals are made very quickly. As a matter of fact, after my last appointment, I received phone calls from two additional doctors’ offices while I was still driving home! That’s how quickly Dr. Johnson made the referrals. When I say my appointments are productive, I am serious.
• I’ve been going to ECHO since 2006! I have always been treated with the utmost kindness! Today I was there and heard a nurse take such patience and caring! She kissed her on the cheek and told the patient she loved her! I was so touched.
• All personnel are so comforting. No one on staff ever has a bad day that we as patients see.
• Both the PA and her assistant were courteous and professional.
• Dr. Yang is fantastic.
• The doctors found my problem and got me through it and helped me get the prescription I needed. I have been healthy and had good blood results for the past year since my stroke.

• I have been a patient for almost 10 years. I love Dr. Yang and all the staff. Annie, her MA is absolutely wonderful. Everyone is very professional and caring and if you find yourself having to belong to a “family,” this is the one you want to be in.
• I feel this office is very concerned with the patient needs. They are very proactive in seeing that the patient needs are met. They are very friendly and very courteous. I have a lot of confidence in dealing with this practice.
• Dr. Nick explained everything to me, and he knows my cancer and I am confident that he knows what he is doing for me.  Thank you, Dr. Nick, and thank you to Mary at the front desk who types in all my upcoming appointments she is always pleasant and has a great sense of humor. I really feel at ease with her.

• I was highly satisfied with my appointment experience because the check-in staff was very cordial. I was directed exactly where to wait and was called very quickly after I sat down. The blood draw went very smoothly, and the staff member chatted with me as I waited for the results, sharing ideas about foods that are high in protein and easy to eat if a patient is having any tasting or swallowing issues. The results were printed out and explained to me with precautions to take based on the blood test results.
• They were friendly and we had nice and pleasant conversations. They cared for me as if I were a family member.
• Everything went smoothly and I received answers for my questions. Everyone was very friendly.
• I have been a long-time patient with this oncology office. Everyone from check-in to check-out make you feel important, cared about, and takes the time to ask how I am doing. They are very patient focused. Dr. Kapur is awesome.

• Staff is friendly, thorough, patient focused. That includes checking in, lab, my APRN, and checking out. They are exceptional!
• I was very happy with this clinic and my doctor who always listens and shows he cares. I was seen and checked in very quickly and checked out with friendliness.
• All appointments were well planned out. Dr Johnson explained in great detail my treatment plan and the reason for it. All nursing staff has been excellent.
• I was extremely pleased with the time and care provided to me on an unscheduled visit to deal with an urgent situation.
• Everyone treats you as if they were part of their own family. They explain procedures to you, listen to your concerns, and answer questions. The nurses took everyone under their wings when Covid hit and loved ones couldn’t join me during treatment. I especially owe a huge thanks to Dr. Johnson and her staff for always being so caring, loving, and always dotting their I’s and crossing their T’s. I always leave knowing I have a great team behind me and I’m in good hands.
• I have never had a problem with anyone during my 30-month journey. The ease of scheduling, checking in, contacting the doctor, treatments, lab work made even the worse days…. seem better. I refer to everyone at to ECHO as Earth Angels. They are a very caring group, it starts at check-in and doesn’t end until you are checking out. I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful group that has helped me through this difficult journey.
• From the time I walked in the door I was made to feel I was a priority. I was made to feel welcome. Patient who was in front of me needed help with the walker she was using to get to the seating area and the person behind the desk said I will be right back to check you in after I help her to her seat. All patients are made to feel that they matter, and I find that to be healing to all. Another office worker came right to the window and said I can help you check-in. Waiting for my appointment anyone who walked by smiled said good day. You always feel welcomed when you go there. At the end of my visit, I explained I was having trouble getting into the website and the administrative assistant gave me her direct number for me to call me anytime for help. It’s always a positive experience when I go to ECHO. And I believe that Dr. Vanessa Johnson is one of the driving forces behind that positive experience.

• I have been with this medical office since about 1989. Dr. Slater and Dr. Nick have been wonderful and staff is wonderful too. I feel safe with all of them and I thank them for all the care that they give.
• Dr. Bottino noticed that my right quadricep was swollen and sent me to the hospital for a STAT ultrasound. 
• Peggy and Dr. Yang are the best. Always professional, helpful in every way.  
• I always feel satisfied with everyone at this office because they treat patients as people, are respectful and helpful. A++
• Dr. Dhami and Laurie are top notch and very professional. They have helped me greatly to understand my diagnosis and made me feel like no matter what it will be OK. 
• They make every effort to make everyone feel welcome and at ease before, during, and after the appointment. 
• Dr. Yang is always personable and discusses my condition with me in a way that she seems pleased with the progress that I have made. She told me that after I complete one more year with her, I should not need to have further testing done. This pleased me.  
• All the staff treats you like your family. It’s been over 6 years since I had treatment and my chemo nurse, Cyndi, still stops and says hi and asks how I’m doing. ECHO is the best!
• The doctor and nurses are very concerned friendly and kind they care about their patients and are willing to help in any way. I highly recommend them to my family and friends.
• Dr. Dhami and the team treating me are absolutely amazing human beings. They were clinical, objective with a high degree of empathy. They made me comfortable in a stressful time. They listened and allowed me to speak openly and freely about all aspects of my current condition – both emotional and physical. They went above and beyond to get me answers quickly to ease my anxiety, as well as ensured that all aspects of my care were addressed. They explained my condition to me extremely well and with empathy. They were objective and truthful in their explanations, but also instilled me with hope and trust. I have trust that they have my best interests in mind.

• My concerns and questions were addressed and answered. I was given the medical information needed to decide about treatment moving forward.  My doctor took into account my personal concerns and wishes in devising my care plan.
• Dr. Nick finally explained the reasons for my blood inadequacies. I now am relieved in knowing those reasons and how I might deal with them in the future.
• Finally, someone has diagnosed my personal problems with assimilating iron and why I might have a chronic high white blood cell count for the past 20 years.
• Dr. Bottino listens to my concerns and takes the time to answer my questions.  He has far exceeded my expectations as a specialist in his field.

It is such a very busy office, looking after so many patients, and sometimes I wonder if they have any time for themselves to take a break. • Pam is extremely friendly and greets me using my first name.  To me, that is an example of a very well informed receptionist.  She remembers the amount I am going to pay towards my balance at each visit but always verifies the amount before processing.
• Kaitlyn, was the nurse who flushed my port, drew my labs, gave me my injection of Prolia, went out of her way to answer questions, and rearranged my upcoming appointments. She also called in a few meds that needed refills. I have also had her for chemo treatments and she is delightful, caring, patient focused, and a pleasure to have as a nurse.
• Kaitlyn RN….I believe I answered this in a previous comment field. However, she ALWAYS goes above and beyond and is a sheer delight. She is always pleasant, patient focused, and extends herself to accommodate me as a person and as a patient.

• My doctor really cares, and I really trust her. The people working here have always been awesome. Dr. Yang is always easy to talk to, she is patient, kind and always makes sure I am comfortable with how she treats my medical issue. I trust her!

The treatment was personalized – not only for me, but everyone sitting near me. The care is personalized and very thorough. I didn’t have to wait long in the waiting area. Nurse was efficient and pleasant. Doctor spent as much time as needed answering questions concerns.
• Registration is simple, quick, efficient, and I am always addressed by name. Pam, especially, never fails to ask how I am doing. Dr. Johnson, and her assistant, are always patient focused, kind, and I never feel rushed through an appointment. Every issue I brought up was thoroughly addressed. I did not see Kim, who is the phlebotomist at the clinic on this visit, but I would like to give her a shout out. She is amazing. I also met Dr. Johnson’s new secretary, Thelma. So pleasant and efficient! Cannot say enough wonderful things about ECHO.
• The entire staff was extremely friendly and professional at the same time. Felt cared for and that I was getting top quality care. There were two very important people at the beginning and throughout my treatment who truly held me up and together at the shock of the diagnosis and start of treatment. • I did not know what to expect and was not sure I needed to see a hematologist. I am satisfied that I did need to see one. I was impressed with the facility, support staff, and mostly the physician. He was super knowledgeable and informative regarding my condition. Laurie made me feel at ease, in good hands and welcome. Dr. Dhami made me look forward to quality treatment and support.
• The receptionist has gone out of her way to remember my name. I’ve never had a caretaker who was rude, etc. They are all friendly and very professional. I never mind having an appointment.

I have 100 percent in any of the decisions she has made and continue to make for me. I am very fortunate to have her as my oncologist. The team that works with her is simply amazing, starting with the secretaries, assistants and oncology nurses.

In our patient survey, we asked our patients to comment on those who improved the quality of their patient experience. Here were some of the responses:

• Lori is excellent. It can be difficult to obtain a blood sample from me, but Lori has always succeeded. She is personable and cares about how I am doing. I wouldn’t go to any other practice to treat my condition.
• Lori made me feel appreciated by the practice. It is always nice to know she remembers me!
• Peggy always has a smile on her face & makes me comfortable when drawing blood. Also Annie goes the extra mile to correct the mistakes when appointments/tests are different from the ones that I have.
• Dr. Yang always makes me feel important and I know she always wants what is best for me. Her nurse assistant is awesome too!
• Nancy Wilcox is the best. She is always available to make this experience as easy as possible. This was my first-time meeting Kristen, nurse practitioner. I am so pleased with her attention and help with my questions.
• I receive IVIG every month and all the nurses are just wonderful. Annie, Dr. Yang’s MA, is absolutely fantastic. She has been in healthcare for years and is so knowledgeable and helpful. She explains things and schedules all the other appointments and tests I need. On occasion, she comes over to see me while I am getting my infusion. She makes people smile and laugh and just for a minute forget why they r there.
• It was my first time meeting and being treated by Allison Weekly. She knew my medical history and explained the plan for future treatment. She listened to my needs.
• Dr. Yang and her staff make you feel comfortable and cared for.
• Thankful to so many people including Dr. Kapur, Kristen Joly, Lisa, the receptionist, Courtney, Crystal, Bunny, Luz, Ellen, Crystal, and Jackie. • Dr. Vanessa Johnson is an excellent communicator and is extremely knowledge. Ellen the nurse in the treatment area is a wonderful nurse and went beyond her basic duties to resolve issues.
• Lisa, Dr. Kapur’s front desk provider goes well above and above with all your needs. She is so helpful with scheduling CT scans, bloodwork, and any additional testing. Extremely pleasant and very helpful and friendly! All oncology nurses that work here are also extremely caring to each and every patient! Kaitlyn and Becky go over the top with making you comfortable before, during, and after Chemo treatments. Basically, all staff have been so supportive during all my visits! So thankful for ECHO!
• Alexandra Pitman, APRN, went out of her way during a very busy day to give the care I needed. I am extremely grateful.
• Christy has been helping me in so many different ways, supportive and caring, and she’s just really wonderful.
• Nurse Becky always goes beyond and above. She’s very accommodating she is very caring. Every time I go and have a treatment she always tries to make me as comfortable as possible. Whether it be with a pillow or couple bottles of water or a snack, she’s always trying all the time to make sure that I’m comfortable and then I’m calm. Thank goodness for Becky!
• Dr. Kapur is by far the best provider I have. I feel like he really cares about you.
• Kim the phlebotomist. I have been coming to the office for 1 year. She is always pleasant, friendly, and nice.
• Dr. Dhami was amazing, but his nurse, Laurie Roberge, was just incredible. Empathetic and energetic, she had a way of making me feel comfortable and cared for in a way I did not expect. From just her presence just being in the room with me during a procedure, or the few moments of conversation before and after an appointment, to answering the phone and returning calls when I needed assistance, and connecting me with Heather the social worker, who also was amazing. She ensured that I received the complete care, mind, body, and soul that I needed. She simply embodies the ideals of empathy and caring that one would want to have in such a difficult time in their life. I can’t imagine going through this without her there to greet me with a smile when I walk in or a comforting hand on my shoulder during a painful procedure. She is just an amazing human being.
• Bunny has been a dear friend, as well as a very capable nurse for me through the majority of my treatment. I’m always happy to see her there.
• Dr. Kapur is an outstanding doctor and easily relates to his patients.
• Dr. Yang’s secretary figures out and does what was ordered by the doctor. She gives you all the things you will need for your testing. Dates and contrast you’ll need for those days. And she mails everything you’ll need for that appointment. She always has a smile on her face. Thank you!
• Accompanying nurse to exam room was very friendly yet professional. Dr. Kapur was also friendly, a good listener , thorough discussing my medical issues and professional.
• The entire staff are very courteous and cordial. My number one nurse there is Becky she is by far an outstanding nurse with all the knowledge needed to perform her job. Overall the entire echo team is just outrageously the best!!

It’s just nice and I feel great when I leave. Pam and Lisa are just amazing at the front. Dr Kapur’s MA’s are outstanding and truly caring as well as Allison and Kristen APRN which are the same girls. The chemo side- they are fun and just make it’s so easy and relaxing
• Bunny is so helpful and kind. She makes me feel like family.
• Cyndi was very attentive to my questions and concerns…I always feel I’m in good hands with her and that my visit will go smoothly.
• Wasn’t aware of another providers test results on me that had been shared but apparently had not been received by the other office. Katelyn went out of her way to retrieve the report from the Epic system & go over it with me & said she would make sure Dr. Nick would see it
• Registration is simple, quick, efficient, and I am always addressed by name. Pam, especially, never fails to ask how I am doing. Dr. Johnson, and her assistant, are always patient-focused, kind, and I never feel rushed through an appointment.
• Alison does a fantastic job with patients and is very knowledgeable.
• Every single person from reception to infusion nurses are amazing and deserve recognition!
• The receptionist is amazing. She knows almost every person by sight! I am so glad that I have this team on my side while going through this terrible disease. They are outstanding!

• Dr. Dhami is the best doctor in town. I love the care and attention I get with each visit.  
• Nancy Wilcox, RN. She has been a wonderful support person for me. Always willing to help in any way she can. Very accommodating and caring.

• I have been going to Vanessa Johnson since 2008. I really feel she saved my life as my cancer was quite advanced. She has always made me feel like I was important and gave me her undivided attention during the visit and follow-up. I find her to be professional, efficient, caring, compassionate, and a credit to her profession and to humanity. She appears to value her coworkers, not just patients, with respect. She has a wonderful sense of humor and outlook on life and conveys that during the visit. I have always recommended Dr. Vanessa Johnson as an oncologist, and have followed her from Shaw’s Cove, to L&M, Yale, and to ECHO.
