Pouyan Nick Changizzadeh, MD
Dr. Changizzadeh completed his undergraduate training at the University of California in Santa Cruz, CA where he majored in molecular, cell, and developmental biology. He went on to complete two post-baccalaureate programs, one in microbiology and one in physiology.
He attended the Ross University School of Medicine in the West Indies and then returned to the United States to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at United Health Services at the Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. In 2019, he completed his Hematology/ Oncology Fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI.
Dr. Changizzadeh has presented on a wide range of oncology topics and is published on the topic of combined checkpoint inhibitor therapy causing diabetic ketoacidosis in metastatic melanoma.
He joined Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology Associates in the summer of 2019.
