Important Update on United Healthcare
ECHO is closely watching the ongoing contract negotiations between Hartford Healthcare (HHC) and United Healthcare (UHC). Unfortunately, if an agreement is not achieved before midnight on 3/31/2025, ECHO will be considered an out-of-network provider with United Healthcare. The impacted insurance plans include United Healthcare and Oxford Health, commercial and Medicare Advantage plans.
Our goal is to ensure that our most vulnerable patients can continue to receive care in a community setting without disruption. Our Billing and Front Office teams are closely reviewing the schedule for the beginning of April and will be reaching out on an individual basis. Our office will arrange for essential tests to be performed at an in-network facility if necessary and will adjust appointments as needed.
What Can You Do?
If you are receiving active treatment in our office, we recommend you apply for Continuity of Care benefits through United Healthcare. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card BEFORE 3/31/2025 to see if you qualify for Continuity of Care. If you qualify, your doctor will also need to sign the form, and our Front Office team will be able to help obtain a signature.

We are hopeful that HHC and UHC will reach a fair agreement before 3/31/2025.
