Cancer Survivorship

Cancer changes a person’s life irrevocably, and understanding those changes as care providers, friends, family, patients, and survivors helps us help those affected by the disease.

Join the Community Oncology Alliance Patient Advocacy Network (CPAN) for their next virtual Advocacy Chat on the state of cancer survivorship and how it affects us:

Wednesday, June 18

12 p.m.

COA’s Director of Patient Advocacy and Education and Advocacy Chat host, Rose Gerber, MS, will be joined by Shelley Fuld Nasso, MPP, the CEO of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. Rose and Shelley will discuss the common aspects of cancer survivorship and the latest results from the annual State of Survivorship Survey, which asks patients and survivors for their perspectives on the treatment journey and related factors. As they explore the results, Rose and Shelley will note changes and solutions to problems identified by respondents that can improve the patient and survivor experience.

This event will be part of our virtual CPAN Advocacy Chats series – short, monthly educational webinars on key cancer issues and the policies that impact them. Each month, we will feature a new topic and have special guests joining us. Patients, survivors, caregivers, and other cancer care advocates are all invited to join us for these free, interactive, virtual events!
