Alexandra Pitman, APRN

Alexandra, known as Ally, has played a vital role at ECHO since 2022. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northeastern University where she graduated summa cum laude. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing at Duke University School of Nursing in their Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program, graduating with a 4.0.
Ally worked at Duke University Hospital as a clinical nurse in Medical Oncology until 2022. She cared for adults undergoing oncologic treatment for malignant solid tumors, including chemotherapy/ immunotherapy administration, postoperative care, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
In 2022, Ally joined ECHO where she loves working in a fast paced work environment with medically complex patients. She enjoys collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to deliver high quality care.
As a specialist in women’s health, Ally initiated a female support group to discuss experiences with short- and long-term effects of oncologic treatment. She also guides patients on non-hormonal and hormonal methods for perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms in women with history of hormone positive breast and gynecologic cancers.
Outside of work, Ally ran her first marathon in 2018 to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. She is also a Certified Pilates Instructor.
