Learn About Our Newest Clinical Trial for Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy happens when the nerves that are located outside of the brain and spinal cord (peripheral nerves) are damaged. Peripheral neuropathy is a common side effect of many types of chemotherapy. The condition leads to tingling, burning, weakness, or numbness, most commonly in the hands and feet. Known as Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN), this side effect is common, often persists after treatment ends, and can significantly impact a patient’s quality of life.

ECHO is pleased to introduce our newest clinical trial to address this side effect. The Lilac national clinical trial is designed to help reduce the risk of peripheral neuropathy during chemotherapy, helping patients stay more comfortable and active throughout treatment. The trial uses specially designed gloves and boot devices that are applied during treatment.

This trial is open to patients without any baseline neuropathy prior to starting chemotherapy, and without prior exposure to neurotoxic chemotherapy in the previous year.
