Join us for our March online advocacy event
What’s the second most common cause of cancer death in the US? Common answers include lung or breast cancer, but it’s actually a lesser discussed disease: colorectal cancer. Overall incidences of the disease are dropping, but cases are on the rise among young people ages 20-29, setting off alarm bells for care providers and advocates. The good news? More than half of all cases and deaths are potentially preventable with changes in diet and routine. We just have to get the word out.
Join Cindy Borassi, Interim President of the Colon Cancer Foundation, and Rose Gerber, COA Director of Patient Advocacy and Education, on March 10 at noon EST for the March 2021 CPAN Advocacy Chat: Paving the Path for a World Without Colon Cancer. Cindy and Rose will discuss the Colon Cancer Foundation’s work eradicating this disease. Whether it’s unique awareness campaigns like Protect Your Butt, interactive exhibits like the Rollin’ Colon, or efforts to expand screening among at-risk populations, the Colon Cancer Foundation is making a difference. Make sure you’re watching!
This event will be part of our virtual CPAN Advocacy Chats series – 30 minute, monthly educational webinars on key cancer issues and the policies that impact them. Each month will feature a new topic and special guests joining us. Patients, survivors, caregivers, and other cancer care advocates are all invited to join us for these free, interactive, virtual events!
