Winter Safety Precautions
This winter brings a slew of ailments including flu, COVID, RSV, and stomach bugs. To keep our patients and staff safe, we are implementing a few measures:
- Staff directly working with patients will wear masks
- For patients, masks are not required, but are highly encouraged
- Patients who are experiencing symptoms should call our office to reschedule until symptoms are resolved. Questions about appropriateness of rescheduling can be directed to an APRN or RN.
Requests for Tamiflu or Paxlovid:
There are medications that can help shorten an illness or lessen severity. These include Tamiflu for the flu and Paxlovid for COVID. Before we can prescribe, we will ask a patient to do a self-test and call us with results. Combination tests are available at the pharmacy. It is highly recommended that patients on active treatment have a test on hand.
We appreciate your efforts to help reduce the spread of illness this winter.
