Improving the Lives of Our Patients
ECHO is proud to have a unique, non-profit organization dedicated to providing support services, guidance, and education to cancer patients and their caregivers. Our goal is to address each patient’s individual needs so that no one lacks care or comfort while living with cancer.
This fiscal year (from July of 2023-July 2024), the Foundation has provided financial support of over $60,000 to patients and their families:
Rock to Rides
The Foundation covers $32,609 of costs to support transportation for patients to their essential oncology care appointments.
- 99 patients supported with over 1,413 rides
Holistic Health
Over $10,356 of costs were covered for patients receiving integrative medicine care such as massage, reiki, and acupuncture. The program is currently funded by a generous grant from After the Storm. Dozens of patients have benefited through our partnerships below:
- 50 patients supported with over 216 holistic health visits
- Partnership with Healing Therapies Thur Sharing
- Partnership with Norwich Holistic Health Center
Beacon of Hope
The Foundation has provided $17,679 in financial support to help patients cover the costs of rent, utilities, nutritional drinks, gas, school supplies, holiday meals, and groceries.
- 51 patients supported
Spreading Holiday Cheer
- Dozens of Thanksgiving baskets, complete with turkeys and fixing, were donated to families in need.
- Dozens of ham dinners were delivered to gift on to patients for the Christmas holidays. Rolls, pies and all of the fixings were provided.
- Backpacks were provided to children to start the school year.
