2024 Advocacy Highlights – CPAN Year in Review
2024 has been a productive year for community oncology advocates. Join COA’s Director of Patient Advocacy and Education Rose Gerber, MS, and two CPAN Chapter Advocacy Leaders, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 12 p.m. ET for a discussion of the wins secured for community oncology practices and their patients, the growth of CPAN, and looking forward to 2025.
Rose will be joined by Angelina Lorello, the CPAN Chapter Advocacy Leader at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists, and Cynthia Przekop, RN, BSN, CPAN Chapter Advocacy Leader at Eastern Connecticut Hematology Oncology. Rose, Angelina, and Cynthia will discuss the pivotal leadership role and impact made through CPAN’s collective advocacy efforts. During the year, CPAN engaged physicians, hosted members of Congress in their practice, and provided education to patients on the value of community oncology. CPAN members also advocated on Capitol Hill, shared their stories in the media and participated in a broad variety of live and virtual gatherings.
This event is part of our virtual CPAN Advocacy Chats: Educational Conversations on Cancer Advocacy and Policy series – monthly, 30-minute, educational webinars on key cancer issues and the policies that impact them. Each month features a new topic and special guest joining us. Patients, survivors, caregivers, and other cancer care advocates are all invited to join us for these free, interactive, virtual events!
