Wendy Garvin Mayo, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC

Wendy is an experienced nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of oncology experience, bringing a wealth of clinical expertise and a passion for supporting both patients and healthcare professionals. We asked Wendy to share a little about herself.
She began her career as a clinical nurse before earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in 2010. Throughout her career, I have cared for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with much of my experience focused on oncology. Working alongside patients throughout their cancer journey has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
Wendy is especially passionate about the mental health and emotional well-being of the oncology community. Throughout her career, she has supported patients, cancer survivors, and caregivers by helping them navigate the emotional challenges that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. Providing compassionate guidance and support is an important part of the care she strives to deliver.
