Infusion Services

We offer two onsite state-of-the-art facilities that provide a warm and caring environment for patients to receive intravenous therapies under the supervision of our highly trained staff. We are one of the only independently run, self-standing infusion centers in Eastern Connecticut.

We place extraordinary emphasis on safety, experience, convenience, and comfort.

About Our Center

We have 2 onsite infusion centers for patients receiving infusions. Our main center has 12 chairs, 1 bed, and a back-up area for patients to receive support services, including hydration and anti-nausea medications. We have an additional center with 4 seats.

Our Center is staffed by:

  • Dedicated APRNs who evaluate patients pre- and post-treatment
  • A team of infusion nurses who oversee the Center
  • An additional half dozen nurses to check in on patients throughout their infusion

We aim to make this setting as comfortable as possible during treatment and volunteers are on hand to deliver blankets, reading materials, and snacks. Adult visitors are invited to accompany patients during treatment.

Treating a wide range of conditions

We offer complete infusion services as part of cancer care. We also offer infusion therapy to treat a variety of conditions, including gastrointestinal, neurological, rheumatologic, pulmonary, and cardiac conditions; anemia; and some types of immune deficiencies. We use infusions to provide a variety of therapies such as immunotherapy, immune globulin, and iron. We collaborate with referring physicians to ensure a seamless approach to patient care.

Safety is Our Top Priority

We utilize the most advanced technology and protocols to ensure the highest levels of safety. We are licensed and meet the maximum safety standards, minimizing the risk of bacteria or contamination to ensure that medication preparation is sterile, accurate, and timely.

Our infusions are delivered by pumps, as opposed to intravenous drips. This ensures the precise administration of medication.

An Experienced and Caring Team

Part of what makes the ECHO Infusion Centers unique is our incredibly dedicated, compassionate, and expertly trained team. Patients have a dedicated nurse throughout their experience, as well as medical assistants and our support staff. We work as a team to make the infusion process a positive experience. We truly care about our patients and treat them as if they were family.

A member of our team is always available for our patients. Our nurse triage line is available Monday through Friday from 8-5 and we offer 24-hour on-call physician coverage 7 days a week.

We Make It Convenient

We know our patients value convenience. Unlike hospital-affiliated infusion centers, we get people in quickly and ensure that infusions are delivered as efficiently as possible.

We offer soft, comfortable recliners along with personal televisions and wireless internet access. Each chair provides privacy for the patient while allowing our centrally located nurses the opportunity for close monitoring and observation.

We have onsite emergency medication and equipment available if needed. There is always a doctor on site.
